Very clean friendly staff. They have a continental breakfast that is unmatched. Tea maker, coffee maker, refrigerator bigger than a apartment fridge microwave all of this in the room. They even give you 3 pillows per bed. I would recommend this Quality Inn to everyone that plans to stay in Johnson city TN.
This new (or newly renovated) inn was just wonderful. The room, while small, was generously appointed with two queen beds, bureau, nightstand, full-size ironing board, iron, etc. But most impressive was the cleanliness. Even the corners behind a chair and the top of the flat screen were pristine. Using a local coupon book, we paid less than $ 65 for the night. We will definitely stay here again when we're in town.
Newly renovated room. Everything new and fresh. Room was clean. Good selection on breakfast buffet. Staff very considerate. Highly recommend this hotel as it is good value.
As a loyal Choice Rewards member, I convinced the other couple travelling with us to stay here as opposed to the Holiday Inn Express across the street. That was the first mistake! Let me say this before I continue on to the negatives...Cam at the front desk was friendly, exceptionally accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we all were placed in rooms next to one another. That's where the pleasantries end however. We unpacked our motorcycles after 9 hours of riding and had dinner at Cracker Barrel next door. Upon returning to our room, now after dark, I notice the filth and lack of maintenance to our room. Our air conditioner was so noisy due to the cover being loose that we had to stuff a pair of shoes under it to hear the TV...or ourselves talking. The carpet was absolutely disgusting! As was the back of the bathroom door, which had some unknown splatters covering the entire lower half of it. I immediately took pictures and emailed Choice Hotels customer service, to which I have yet to get a reply, since October 16, 2017! It is now November 5, 2017! The icing on the cake came the next morning when I awoke to 8 bug bites on my arm. I immediately googled them and they appeared to me to be spider bites. Unfortunately I did not report them to the front desk upon check out. The bites continued to get worse as the day went on, and increasingly more concerning the following day. By the next day, Monday, I had to leave work early to go get them looked at and it was determined by a doctor that they were in fact bed bug bites, without a doubt. I contacted the hotel immediately and got no response. I called customer service and on 3 occasions was disconnected almost instantly after using the words bed bugs! As of now there has been no resolution to my dispute and no compensation for our very unsatisfactory stay. Please do not stay at this hotel unless your vehicle will not allow you to sleep in it and shower at a truck stop! You will regret it!
First: 5 stars for the night clerk. Kyle was great. Room was mostly clean (but gross hairs from someone else shaving still in the sink), bed was either actually comfortable or I was so tired and sick I couldn't tell the difference. Knocking off two stars, one because they rudely started construction on some renovations LITERALLY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF OUR WALL at 7:30am, which is kind of a really big deal when you didn't make it into the room until after 3am, and when we went out to complain, the contractors told us they just needed a few more minutes. The breakfast also loses 1 star as everything was stale (waffle batter tasted expired) and generally not good when we arrived for breakfast before 9am (breakfast is supposed to be served until 9:30am).
