It was like night and day! I recently moved to town from Orange County, CA to be closer to family. I went to Badcock Furniture (name says it all) across the street first to check out a new bed for my new place with my mother. We walked around the entire Badcock store (a bit sterile to be quite honest - felt more like a warehouse to me), and was not even said hello to. There were a handful of reps behind the counter, some working with other customers - some not - and we were not even acknowledged, let alone given a friendly greet or a "Hey, we'll be with you in a few". Don't get me wrong - I'm was not looking to be waited on hand and foot. I really prefer to shop amongst myself and then have the ability to ask questions about things I'm interested in. Anyway - we were in the store for about 15 minutes looking at different beds/types available and still no one came to help or care to notice we were there. Quite possibly the most horrifying furniture shopping experience of my life, there at Badcock.
We then continued our search across the street to GRAND Home Furnishings (name says it all), where we were warmly welcomed by a kind gentleman by the name of Louie. The store was beautifully decorated and felt like a majestic home in some spots. Louie even had an ice cold Coca-Cola freshly cracked and ready to go for us upon entering the establishment. Louie was knowledgeable and not at all pushy with selling me my dream King Hickorby Crest plush pillow-top bed. Talk about lush! My grandpa was paying - so sky was the limit, but I really wanted something perfect. I had originally gone in looking for a queen size but am SOOOO happy I went with a king from the #1, perfect-sleeper, bed manufacturer Serta. It is like sleeping on a cloud and I cannot be more thankful to GRAND Home Furnishings and Louie for making my restful nights of sleep in my new location a reality.
I recommend GRAND Home Furnishings and specifically Louie to anyone on the market for home furnishings. In total we visited about 6 stores that day and hands down had the most pleasant time with Louie at GRAND. The experience there was solid from beginning to end - including the warehouse and shipping departments - efficiency through and through! A++ guys! Thank you for an awesome experience and the wonderful addition to my beautifully decorated and comfy abode.
We have purchased furniture here several times and the service is good at the point of sale. However they don't contact you with order updates until the very last minute.
Grands has served our family for years. My mother in law furnished her entire home from Grands and all the furnishings are still in great condition. I bought both a custom reclining couch and a mattress and I have been extremely satisfied with the salesman I worked with, the delivery folks, and the product. I will definitely shop with Grand's for my next purchase, and I only hope our favorite salesperson, Jack, is there to assist us.
As good of a furniture store as there is near Johnson City. Nice selection across all furniture for your home.
I love this place! The nicest sales people, especially Richard! Beautiful furniture at very reasonable prices! Financing available with great payment plans! You even get a free bottle of ice cold Coke just walking in! I highly recommend Grand for all your home furnishings!!
