I recently moved to town from Orange County, CA to be closer to family. I went to Badcock Furniture to check out a new bed for my new place with my mother. We walked around the entire store which felt more like a warehouse to me, and was not even said hello to. There were a handful of reps behind the counter, some working with other customers - some not - and we were not even acknowledged, let alone given a friendly greet or a "Hey, we'll be with you in a few". Don't get me wrong - I'm was not looking to be waited on hand and foot. I really prefer to shop amongst myself and then have the ability to ask questions about things I'm interested in. Anyway - we were in the store for about 15 minutes looking at different beds/types available and still no one came to help or care to notice we were there. Quite possibly one of the most unpleasant furniture shopping experiences I've had. Usually you can't get the sales reps to let you shop or leave you alone - strangely enough this store was the complete opposite. Very disappointed with the customer service here. Could of had a nice sale and happy customer, but took our business elsewhere.
This Michael Hendricks person in the review section who's crying that no one said hello to him is full of bs. I love visiting this store. All the staff are friendly and any furniture store IS a large warehouse that displaces furniture, what did you expect.
I just visted the Johnson City store, and the worker who was currently working was sitting near the door. We were still in the car and she looked at her watch, and glanced at us. We walked in and said, “we know you’re closing soon, can you show us where the tv stands are.” She replied with “um sorry but we close in 3 minutes,” while saying this she pulls out her watch again. So we walk out. With two minutes to spare into the store she makes a rudely smile, and turns off the open sign, locks the door, and turns off the lights.
Ken the manager here was extremely helpful. I recently moved to this area and I just wanted to make sure my account was moved. He was great. They all were very nice here.
