This place exceeded my expectations, and that takes a lot. It's not your typical BBQ place. The food was amazing and you could tell that it was all prepared on site, not precooked, shipped in and assembled. I had the Moe's 'Bama style pulled pork sandwich, beer brazed cabbage and their tomato and cucumber salad. All three were the best I'd ever had. The staff were all very friendly and the prices very competitive and affordable. I will definitely go back and hated that I hadn't stopped by sooner. We are lucky to have them. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other selections.
Never had a bad meal here. Rotating sides menu, lots of great BBQ-type meat entrees. The cornbread is a must, and the variety of BBQ sauces are sure to suit any palate. Appropriate beer menu: amber ales, brown ales, lagers, etc. that go excellently with spicy and saucy meals. Overall, wonderful food. Atmosphere is fun and rustic, cool decor and friendly staff. Great place for both a few drinks or dinner with the family.
Moe's has both excellent barbeque and tasty sides. They rotate them daily through a wide variety of southern favorites. Their banana pudding alone is worth going there for. I get it every time I go. In addition to the food, the atmosphere and service are also top notch. The dining area and bar have a heavy southern vibe with lots of rustic wood. Just what you would expect for a southern barbeque place. I have also found the staff to be pleasant and friendly. Price wise it is in the middle for me. I spend about 12 to 15 dollars per visit.(no alcohol) I recommend It.
Food was great. Excellent staff and atmosphere. My kind of down home place. The pork was tender and the barbecue sauce was delicious. The cornbread was simply amazing, it’s a must have! Definitely will be returning.
Just a really bad experience today for my boyfriend and I. When we got there, the front door was crowded and you could tell there were two cashiers but the line was just one huge cluster where you have to fight for a place in line.. we'd never been there before and we had to figure out how everything worked. The cashier's said nothing about "we will bring it out to you" or "they'll call your name when it's ready"..so we just had to figure it out. The inside was a bit crowded so we chose to sit outside..everyone outside pretty much all sat down at the same time..and every single table had to wait 45 mins.to an hour for their food. We kept overhearing how the table next to us would go inside and ask how many orders were ahead of them..they were told two orders ahead of them at first, then a second person from their table went and came back and said "they lied to you, because they just told me there are 5 people ahead of us actually." Another table asked what was taking so long and they were told "they were down to only one fryer"..which by glancing at the menu upon arriving I only saw catfish and fried chicken as the fried items...so that was no excuse for my boyfriend and I to have to wait 50 minutes for two pulled pork sandwiches and anside of coleslaw and potato salad..also outside there were no "sauce caddy's" or paper towels so when someone went inside to ask the cashiers/waitresses they we're told to just steal them off the tables inside...once we FINALLY got our food it was just okay. nothing we'd come back for and definitely not worth the wait. Very disappointed, especially seeing the good reviews. Won't give them a second chance though. Just horrible service.
